The ACOG gives you more visibility of the surrounding area which might either save your life or help you find the targets in the first place.

This is the opposite with normal guns though. I like the red-dot as you can still see the whole screen but the ACOG seems to take up a lot of screen room.

they reduce your zoom but its easier to snap in and out off but unless your playing a long map like countdown then there the better choice
